Report: Mabrey’s foul on Clark upgraded to Flagrant-2, Cunningham fined
The WNBA has upgraded the technical foul on Connecticut’s Marina Mabrey for shoving Caitlin Clark to the floor during Tuesday’s night game against Indiana to a Flagrant-2, a person familiar with the situation said Wednesday.
The Ottawa Senators are hoping Fabian Zetterlund will be a part of several more playoff pushes.
The Swedish winger, acquired just before the trade deadline from the San Jose Sharks last season, is signing a three-year, $12.825-million deal with the Senators, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Thursday.
The average annual value is $4.275 million.
Zetterlund, 25, was held to two goals and three assists in 20 regular-season games with Ottawa and then went pointless in a six-game playoffs series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
But he showed more offensive potential in San Jose, recording 17 goals and 19 assists for 36 points in 64 games before the trade.
The five-foot-11 Zetterlund had 24 goals and 20 assists in 82 games for the Sharks in 2023-24.
He has 52 goals and 64 assists for 116 points in 247 career games for the New Jersey Devils, Sharks and Senators.
The Devils picked Zetterlund in the third round (63rd overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft.
